MACS Sales Data Import ModuleManufacturers regularly send sales information to their agencies, traditionally in the form of invoice copies or printed reports. Sales agencies using MACS enter invoice information, as described in Sales and Commission Entry. However, manual entry of large amounts of data from each manufacturer into MACS Software or any other system can be time consuming and error-prone. Sales Data Import is a MACS module that automates the entry of sales information. Manufacturers supplement, and eventually replace, invoice copies and printed reports with computer files delivered on disk or transmitted over phone lines. Reps using the Sales Data Import module of MACS Software feed these files to their computer system for automatic entry. Moments later, that information is ready for use elsewhere in MACS Software. SDI delivers benefits to both the agency and the manufacturer by eliminating the production, sorting, delivery and entry of printed information.
