MACS Order Tracking Module
The Order Tracking optional module monitors order information from
entry to shipment and beyond.
Order Tracking Capabilities
- Orders can be entered, changed, updated, canceled, posted with
shipment data, and printed.
- Up to 90 line items per order and 90 transactions per line item.
- Easily access orders by using customer name, purchase order number
or manufacturer.
- Inquiry option allows a user to view the listings and status of all
orders for a specific customer and of all line items on a specific
order, as well as history of all transactions for a particular line
item.
Order Tracking Reports
- A printout of each order is available. Pre-printed forms are not
needed.
- Order information may be transferred to Sales Analysis Reports to
allow for detailed analysis of orders as well as shipments.
- Order History reports are available--down to line item detail.
- Open Order Reports can be retrieved by numerous dates: Request Date,
Promise Date, Ship Date, or user defined dates.
Order Tracking Inquiry
- Open Order information may be retrieved instantaneously on-screen
with MACS' unique windowing system.
- All orders may be displayed for a manufacturer or a customer. Or,
all orders for a specific manufacturer/customer combination.
- Once an order is identified, the line items on the order may be
displayed along with every transaction (order, order change, shipment)
for each line item.
- Open Order Inquiry may be selective based on any of the dates
associated with the order: Request Date, Promise Date, Ship Date, or
user defined dates.
Order Tracking Benefits
- Beneficial when long lead times exist between order entry and
shipment.
- Easily handles blanket orders.
- Offers capability of tracking multiple ship dates on one order.
- Monitors status of all orders. Printed reports can be generated
based on a range of selected dates.
The Order Header contains:
- Customer sold-to and ship-to addresses. A window at the bottom of
the screen may be used to select each address with a minimum of
keystrokes. Salesman number and expected commission percentage are
retrieved.
- Customer purchase order number and date and the manufacturer's
reference number and date for the order. If a manufacturer's customer
number is on file in the cross-reference file, it is also displayed.
- A description, the terms, and a shipment method for the order may be
entered.
- Entered, requested, and promised dates for the order may be entered.
- Two user-definable dates, which can be used for cancel dates,
follow-up dates, or any other date you want to track.
Line Item data may be entered individually or in summary
- You can maintain item information in an item file. A convenient
window displays items on file.
- Information about each line item is either extracted from the item
file or entered manually.
- Prices may be entered manually or comprehensive pricing structures
may be established to automatically calculate up to six levels of
prices. Prices may be expressed as "Each,"
"Hundred," and "Thousand" using up to four decimal
places.
- Any of the order dates may be overridden at this line item level.
This is convenient for handling blanket orders.
Order Tracking reports are extremely useful in monitoring the status of
all orders in the system--from entry to shipment, and even backorders.
Each order that is entered can be printed without pre-printed forms, as
shown below.
