MACS Basic System
MACS Software is distributed in a modular fashion, so you pay for only
the features you need. This lets MACS tailor a system specifically to your
needs, whether it's to reconcile commissions, to track orders, or to
manage inventory.
In any case, the MACS Basic System is required. It provides the
fundamental programs for managing a sales agency, including the ability to
enter information about customers, manufacturers, sales and commissions,
and to produce sales analysis reports. This page describes three Basic
System components:
- Agency Information Base
In MACS Software, Agency Information Base describes the
central record of your agency's customer, manufacturer and salesman
information. Since MACS is an integrated system, information entered
in the Agency Information Base is used throughout the entire system.
The information in the Agency Information Base can be printed as
reports, Rolodex cards or labels.
- Sales and Commission Entry
Sales and Commission Entry organizes invoice sales data--the
central link in the flow of information. As invoices are received from
manufacturers, sales information is entered into the system. Daily
entry of sales invoices eliminates the month-end rush and provides current
sales analysis information.
You can enter sales data from invoice copies, from commission
statements, or from manufacturers' sales summary reports. You enter a
minimum of information--MACS does the rest.
Invoice (sales) data entered into MACS is available on many reports
and can be printed on a daily basis as well as at month-end. One
example of the many available invoice listing reports is shown below.
- RepGen/IV Report Generator
MACS quickly and easily converts your raw sales data into
meaningful information. The MACS Basic System includes RepGen/IV,
a powerful report generator. Using RepGen/IV, over 50,000 different
sales reports are available using pre-defined formats, sorts,
and customization options.
Generating a MACS sales analysis report is as easy as:
- Selecting a Format
- Selecting a Sort
- Selecting Customization Options
Sales analysis reports from MACS play an important role in helping
you analyze and manage your agency. The unique report generator prints
information according to your specific needs. The following sample
reports illustrates the variety of sales analysis reporting, all
derived from the single entry of data using the MACS Basic System.
